GCSE Results 2007

Callington Community College Record Results Once Again! (Press release 23rd August 2007)

Students at Callington Community College have produced the colleges best ever GCSE results this year.  Several records were broken:

• 64% of students achieved 5 A* - C
• 68% of all grades were A* - C (the national percentage was 63.3)
• 51% of students achieved 5 A* - C including English and Maths 
• 90% of grades were A* - G (the national percentage was 98)

Students at the college achieved the results expected of them with all subjects performing well.

Headteacher Steve Kenning stated "students and staff are delighted with the results - it confirms that our emphasis on developing relevant skills and providing opportunities for our students has not only produced very self-confident students but also produced our best ever results".
