Report by Eleanor Maunder, Year 7
On the 15th, 16th and 17th of January, eleven students from the college joined with the Miracle Theatre Company to perform in the pantomime ‘The Revenge of Rumplestiltskin'.
It was amazing and very nerve-wrecking, because over 100 people watched every night and it was probably the biggest audience we had performed to. We were scared at the thought that we would forget our moves. It was also very exciting back stage as tension built up as our time to perform approached. It was amazing performing with a professional company. They were lovely and kind whilst being understanding and great fun.
At the end of each performance we were all full of adrenalin and found it hard to sleep that night. By the end of the run of performances we were all exhausted. It made the next week at school very tiring! Big thanks to Mr Plunkett for choosing us and to Kyla Goodey from Miracle Theatre who used to come to the college and who directed us.
"The Revenge of Rumpelstiltskin" is touring nationally from November 2009 to February 2010
